Clarification on Interfolio use for the AY25-26 P&T Process
April 1, 2025
Dear Colleagues:
Please help us communicate the following message to all faculty in your departments who are involved in the upcoming promotion and tenure process.
We are sending this message to clarify the Interfolio Faculty180 requirements for the upcoming AY25-26 promotion and tenure cycle. Use of Faculty180 (i.e., Interfolio’s Faculty Activity Reporting module) is strongly encouraged and supported but not required for the AY25-26 promotion and tenure cycle for either TTF or CCAF.
Instead, the use of Faculty180 will be optional. However, it will be required for all future year promotions and annual reviews, which is why we strongly encourage adoption now. We are allowing optional use for the AY25-26 cycle only due to delays in implementation of the Interfolio Data Service module.
Please see the addendum below* for further details on process for candidates or Interfolio Unit Administrators, additional online resources, and contact information for questions.
Thank you for your support and patience as we continue to transition to the Interfolio system.
Sincerely,
Sue James

*Using Interfolio for the AY25-26 P&T cycle
What is the process for P&T candidates for the AY25-26 cycle?
- Promotion and tenure dossiers will still be submitted in Interfolio using the Review, Promotion, and Tenure module (Interfolio’s workflow system).
- The faculty member’s CV can be uploaded to the P&T case as a regular document (Word or PDF), rather than using the Faculty180 Vita.
- Faculty members who wish to use Faculty180 for their P&T CV will have specialized training opportunities and support made available to them. There will be more information about this to come in the next couple of weeks.
What is the process for the Interfolio Unit Administrators for the AY25-26 P&T cycle?
- Please send the names of any faculty members who will use Faculty180 for promotion and tenure to Jessica Watkinson ([email protected]), so they can be included in training opportunities and communications.
- Whether or not your faculty will be using Faculty180 for promotion and tenure, some edits may be required for your promotion and tenure template, or individual cases. Jessica Watkinson ([email protected]), will assist with any necessary editing.
- Given the changing federal landscape, decisions are being made about the contents of the T&P dossiers which may affect the faculty CV as well as the P&T templates in Interfolio’s RPT module. We encourage administrators to hold off on creating cases if you haven’t already to allow for any changes that might need to be made to the templates. There will be more information to come in the next couple of weeks.
