Dear Colleagues:

With great enthusiasm, I write to announce the appointment of Dr. Kimberly Miloch as the inaugural Chief of Staff and Associate Vice Provost for Organizational Strategy and Academic Leadership Development in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. This role was created to enhance collaboration and communication with our office and senior leadership, act as the chief strategy advisor to the Provost and Executive Vice President, attend events and meetings on my behalf, and coordinate the daily operations of our office. Dr. Miloch will begin in her role at Colorado State University on Friday, November 1.

Dr. Miloch is well-versed in strategic operations and organizational development in higher education both at the system and campus levels. She has held several leadership roles at Texas Woman’s University System over the past 16 years where she currently is Interim Dean of the College of Health Sciences, a member of the Provost’s Leadership Council, the Provost’s liaison to Faculty Senate and the Council of Chairs, and she leads the steering committee overseeing development of a new $100 million Health Sciences Building at the System’s main campus.

Dr. Miloch also has served as Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Interim Chair of the Department of Kinesiology at Texas Woman’s College. In addition, she is a Professor of Health Promotion and Kinesiology, and previously was an Assistant Professor at Indiana University-Bloomington and Northern Illinois University, and an Instructor at Florida State University.

I am thrilled to have Dr. Miloch joining our leadership team as my chief strategy officer. Among her other responsibilities, she will play a critical role in supporting strategic transformation planning, and collaborating with all Vice Provosts, Deans, and other academic leaders to ensure the timely and successful implementation of the Academic Master Plan.

I want to thank everyone who participated in a very successful search process. This role is an important addition to the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President. It will elevate our impact and build our capacity as we continue to diligently support CSU’s mission and President Parson’s institutional priorities.

Sincerely,

Marion

Marion K. Underwood
Provost and Executive Vice President
