December 9, 2024

Dear Colleagues:

As we head into finals week and prepare to celebrate commencement, I am keenly aware that we in academia enter into a season of hope and light right as we are winding up the fall semester. We long for a break and to celebrate the holidays and new year with loved ones. But once some of us slow down, we remember that families and friendships can be complicated, loneliness is real, and many of us miss loved ones this time of year.

My hope for you is that you finish the semester strong along with your students, then take time to reflect on life and do some things you really want to do that inspire you and bring you joy. Enjoy the people in your lives. And always remember that the work you do at CSU matters.

I am deeply grateful for all you do to raise our standing as one of the best institutions of higher education in this nation. You also should be proud of your contributions and those of your colleagues. Together, you make CSU extraordinary for everyone who chooses to pursue their dreams here.

Below is a link to our closing Faculty Newsletter for the fall semester. It shares academic leadership changes, Faculty Success and Student Success updates, academic announcements, what’s trending in higher education news, some points of Ram Pride from across our institution, and a final year-end message.
