CSU Faculty Newsletter from the Provost and Executive Vice President | May 2025
May 13, 2025
Dear Colleagues:
Every day I take great pride in witnessing the important work you do to support our students and the impact you have on the world through your remarkable scholarship. As we near the end of the semester, I hope you take time to reflect on your most rewarding moments. Mine have been the conversations I have shared with many of you about your achievements and passions, and the opportunities to engage with your students and witness their brilliance.
To everything there is a season, and I love the seasons in academia. The spring semester ends with excitement, exhaustion, and dazzlingly beautiful weather. Excitement runs high this year as we host our first University-wide commencement in nearly three decades. I hope you are able to join in that momentous occasion this Friday with our graduating students and their loved ones, in addition to your department recognition ceremonies and other commencement events over the next few days.
Below is the link to the May edition of the Faculty Newsletter. In it you will find university updates and the latest selected news from across higher education, and my final message to you for the academic year.
