Vice Provost for Graduate Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School

Colleen WebbColleen Webb is the Vice Provost for Graduate Affairs and Dean of the Graduate School at Colorado State University. She is also a full professor with a joint appointment in the Departments of Biology and Mathematics.

Dr. Webb served as Associate Dean of the Graduate School from 2019-23, and from 2017-19, she was the Director of the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology, an interdisciplinary program at CSU with over 130 graduate students. Dr. Webb has an active research program in disease ecology, and she enjoys working with undergraduate and graduate students in this capacity. She brings to the roles of Dean and Vice Provost a deep appreciation of what is at stake in continuing to elevate the excellence of CSU’s graduate programs and ensuring a supportive environment for our graduate students. She is a highly respected advocate for graduate students, and her reputation as a strategic, multi-skilled, and service-driven leader precedes her.

During her tenure as Associate Dean of the Graduate School, Dr. Webb championed several initiatives focused on graduate student mentoring, diversity, and well-being, including conducting the first graduate student mental health gap analysis. She led the development of the CSU Graduate Center for Inclusive Mentoring, helped to establish the Graduate Students of Color and International Students support groups, and developed an assessment for inclusive pedagogy training for graduate students in collaboration with The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT). She was also instrumental in developing the phased plan to provide coverage of mandatory fees for graduate assistants.
