Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs

Interim VPUA Tom SillerDr. Tom Siller is the Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Affairs at Colorado State University. In this role he is responsible for providing operational leadership and oversight for all initiatives supporting undergraduate education and campuswide student success programs. Dr. Siller is an associate professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering who joined CSU’s faculty as an assistant professor in 1988. He served as the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs in the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering from 2002-15.  

Dr. Siller has dedicated his career to advocating for students. Over his 35 years at CSU, he has received numerous awards and recognitions for his outstanding pedagogy, student engagement and advising, and distinguished service, and for his work to empower STEM scholars and teachers. He has focused not only on students who come to CSU to study but also on encouraging middle and high school students to pursue a STEM education through competitions, summer camps, and other opportunities he has helped organize. 

Dr. Siller received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University; his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst; and his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York, Buffalo.
